Celtic Dragon
With swirl wings and knotted tail, this 12" long dragon is inspired by the Celtic knotwork art from illuminated pages and stone markers. This pattern features the face made as a mask with surface sculpting done with the "trapunto" method of stuffing between 2 layers of fabric which is then fitted over the simpler head shape on the body piece.

Kells Wyvern Dragon
This 20" long serpent-bird was derived from the knotwork art in the Irish Book of Kells. It's dog-like face is a mask made with trapunto quilting methods as a separate piece which is sewn to the body. Easier to make than the original dragon, it features painted eyes and claws, wired tongue, cloth teeth and 36" wired tail to bend in any shape you wish.
