Deer Suede (aka Buck Suede)is the ideal fabric for many doll making patterns and projects. It is a very durable fabric, easy to handle, easy to stuff and is machine washable. You may also choose between the smooth side or the softer suede side for your doll skin. Deer Suede is recommended by many doll designers as a good doll skin fabric for their patterns. Note: If your pattern calls for Guilford Mills Doe Suede (no longer available), Deer Suede is a suitable replacement.Also Buck Suede is another name for Deer Suede

This shiny finish, 25% four-way stretch knit is generally used to stretch over sculpted
faces to create a face without a center seam.
Comes in Light and Dark Nude Flesh/Skin Colors.
The fabric is aslo ideal for a variety of apparel designs where movability is important. Used for athletic wear, costumes, dance and skate outfits, beach wear bathing suit covers, headbands, tights, scarves, leggings, cosplay and much more.
THIS FABRIC IS VERY SHINEY AND VERY STRETCHY – WE DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR COMPLETE DOLL BODIES.
Also known as Silk Noil, this is a slightly nubby fabric with random flecks in a natural, off-white color. It has a somewhat rough texture and gentle drape.
This muslin will shrink when washed or dampened. So it is perfect for dolls designs/patterns that call for "shrinkable muslin" and use the "Dampen and Shrink Method." This is a technique where after completing and stuffing your doll body it is dampened causing the fabric to shrink and you end up with a firm doll body.
